This site has been developed and maintained by Andrew Firmin.
Credits for outstanding service go to Steve Corrigan, Barry Heagin, Tim
Quelch and Brent Whittam for finding stuff from the archives, and to Ian Holden for scanning the photos, in the early
days of this site when we were struggling to get it going.
Special thanks to Andy Braid for enabling us to take over his
site in the first place.
Hats off, too, to David Hird for tirelessly digging out old mags
for the archive.
Thanks are due to all our match reporters over the years. We think the list in full is:
Nicholas Beckett. Julian Booth, Steve Corrigan, Tom Davies, Andrew Firmin, Terry Haslam-Jones, Barry Heagin, John McPartlin,
Patrick O'Neill, John Pepper, Pauline Pratley,
Tim Quelch, Rob Slade, Steven Tattersall, Jo Tomlinson, Phil Whalley, Brent Whittam, Jez Wilson, Kevin Wood, Lynn Woods and
Igor Wowk.
Other credits go to Gordon Armstrong, Mike E Benyon, Paul
Burrows, Nicola Lupton, Roger Maskell and Trevor Yate.
Apologies for anyone I may have missed out.
Technical
This site was been designed using FrontPage
3.0, and uploaded with WS-FTP 95. It is hosted by Yahoo Geocities.
I suppose the site will work best on MS
Explorer 5 or higher, running on Windows 95 or higher, with colours set for 'True Colour' and screen size set
to 1024 by 768 pixels, because those are the settings of the machines it was designed
on. How do you get over that perennial problem of web design called 'well it looks all
right on my machine'? If you find something doesn't work or gives you problems, do let us know and we'll try
to fix it. The site has been tried out in Netscape and it looks okay. You will need Java
enabled for one or two functions, but otherwise you won't need anything else. After all,
it's all text and it's all flat HTML, nothing fancy. Fingers crossed, I hope it works.
Please bear in mind that it's an amateur site and we haven't spent any money, so there
will always be limitations.
