13 July - London Clarets AGM
Please note that this weekend there is no Hammersmith and City Line or Metropolitan Line service to Farringdon,
and no Circle Line service between Baker Street and Farringdon. This is rather inconsiderate of London Underground, as
Farringdon is the best stop for the Sekforde Arms and our AGM. Alternative ways to get there are by the Thameslink service (south from King's Cross, north from Blackfriars) or by the Circle Line from
Liverpool Street. Alternatively you can walk from King's Cross or, if you can figure the exits out, Old Street. Hope this helps.
Just a reminder that the London Clarets AGM
takes place on Saturday 13 July, and as ever, we hope as many of our members as possible will come along. Among the highlights of what's on offer are:
> Burnley FC Chairman Barry Kilby will answer your questions.
> Burnley MP Peter Pike will give his views on Burnley's season and football in general.
> Representatives of the Wimbledon Independent Supporters Association
[www.wisa.org.uk] will bring us up to date with their fight to save the soul of their football club.
As well as this, the meeting offers the chance to meet, and chew the fat with, your fellow Claret exiles.
As usual, our AGM takes place in the Sekforde Arms, a splendid London pub which sells excellent Young's beer. Lashings of food will also be provided.
The meeting proper starts at one, but rest assured that some of us will be there from opening time!
The Sekforde Arms is on Sekforde Street in Clerkenwell.
