Some things are hard to get used to, even when you've known about them well in advance. Like at Saturday's London Clarets AGM, when Firmo stepped down as Editor of this website.
For anyone who doesn't know, Firmo has been our Web Tsar for the past four years. Indeed, to many people, Firmo and this website are one and the same! Thanks to his hard work and commitment, we're able to communicate with our members worldwide. But you don't have to be a London Claret to enjoy the site - our visitors include other Burnley fans, fans of other clubs, and indeed many people who have no interest whatsoever in football, but just enjoy good writing and lively debate!
Although Firmo is stepping down as Editor, he'll still be a regular contributor to the site. And if you attended the AGM, you'll know that he now has a new role: as our Club's Chairman. I'll be taking over as Editor, and (though I have an impossible act to follow) will be doing my best to maintain the high standards that Firmo has instigated.
For the next couple of weeks the site will be in a handover phase, so please bear with us whilst we get everything transferred and updated. In the meantime, I'm sure you'll want to join me in saying a big Thank You to Firmo.
