The good news is that we now have a willing volunteer to take charge of the reborn London Clarets football team - London Clarets FC. Now all we need are some players!

Adam Mitton has volunteered to be Stan. He is trying to organise a team to represent our supporters club on the playing field. So, what are you waiting for? If you want to play - or should that be 'considered for selection' - e-mail us your contact details, and we'll pass them on to Adam.
For the uninitiated, for many years the London Clarets fielded a football team, and not without success. But then, as can happen, the usual things intervened - the lads found other responsibilities and the bloke who ran it moved on. For the last few years, we have, therefore, not been able to put a team out. This has been despite the rapid growth in membership of our supporters club, which has seen the club thrive in other areas.
Well, all that's about to change - with your help. So come on, get involved as we aim to resurrect our football team. We would normally say something about phoenixes at this point, but that word doesn't mean what it used to now.
In terms of what's involved right now, at the moment Adam is just trying to put together a contacts list of people who are interested in playing for the new team. After that, he's looking at maybe playing one or two friendlies before the end of the season.
