The Pride and Glory
Phil Whalley's new book

You may be aware that Phil Whalley, who co-edits our bi-monthly magazine with Tim Quelch, has a new book out. The book in question is The Pride and Glory, which looks back over Burnley FC's history. Released as part of the Club's 120th anniversary celebrations, it is sure to be of interest to any Claret.
Phil wrote the early part of the book, which covers the period from the Club's formation up until the Second World War. Co-author Edward Lee (of the Burnley Express) then covers things up to the present day.
Consisting of 184 pages in hardback form, the book was written and produced at no cost to Burnley, and all profits will be shared between the Club and the Burnley Express. A nice Christmas present, perhaps?
The book costs £19.99*, and you can obtain a copy via one of the following methods:
By phone: just call the Club Shop on 0870 443 1882, and have your credit or debit card ready. The shop is usually open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday (later on home matchdays).
Online: via the Club's official online store.
In person: if you're up in Burnley, pop into the Club Shop. Alternatively, the book is available from the Burnley Express offices on Bull Street (telephone 01282 426161 for more information).
*Plus postage and packing where applicable.
Review
It wouldn't be right for us to advertise the book had we not at least taken a quick look at it. We've done better than that - check out our in-depth review.
