Shirt alert:
Don't forget your
opportunity to get a piece of King Arthur

As you probably know, the London Clarets supporters’ club sponsored
Arthur Gnohere for season 2002-2003. We thought it was
only proper that we sponsored our then player of the season, and gave Burnley
FC some money at a time when it was clearly most needed.
One of the benefits of sponsorship was that we now have King Arthur's
signed away shirt from last season. Our Burnley
beer guru, Becko, received it on our behalf at the Player of
the
Year awards dinner (see the picture above).
Many of you will be aware that we're offering paid-up members the chance to
win the shirt. Here's a reminder of how it works:
- Members are invited to donate in £5 units
towards the cost of the sponsorship.
- Each £5 donated gives the donor one chance
to win the shirt. So a £10 donation will buy you two chances, and
so on.
- Each £5 donation will be converted
into a ticket with the donor's name on it.
- At the AGM,
all the tickets will be placed into a hat, and the winner drawn.
If you'd like to make a donation and
enter the draw, please send your contribution as soon as possible
to our Treasurer, Mike E Benyon, at the
address
in
the inside back
cover of the magazine.
Please make cheques payable to ‘Burnley FC London Supporters
Club’, and
include your name, membership number and contact details.
Alternatively, we'll be selling tickets
at the AGM, so you're more than welcome to buy one (or perhaps
a couple?) then. Someone's got to win the shirt - why shouldn't it
be you?
Below is a list of those who have already
donated. Their contributions are gratefully acknowledged, and we
wish them luck.
