Spot the Claret

A feature in the pre-season LET ‘Claret’ newspaper saw Mitchell Thomas’ impressions of his teammates. See how well you match descriptions on the left to the relevant squad members on the right. Answers at the bottom of the page.

The descriptions

A – Mr Stroller. So laid back he’s almost horizontal. A pleasant, quiet lad.

B – Dick Emery Junior. Always straight, very serious. Assertive in everything he does.

C – Very straight, quite serious and all the lads respect him. Never wants to come off the training field.

D – Can be Mr Angry at times, especially on the training field. You can wind him up quite comfortably.

E – Very funny lad, and his accent makes everything he says even funnier. Enjoys running a book on whatever event is going on.

F – Still doesn’t understand a lot but if he makes a noise when I’m in defence I know I have to get out of the way because he’s so big.

G – The life and soul of every party, could talk under water.

H – Takes a bit of stick off the lads about the way he dresses.

I – The nicest man in the world until he has a beverage and then he turns into a monster.

J – Every pound is a prisoner to him. He is really tight. If anything is going free, he is there.

K – Very quiet, very deep. Never get caught with him when he is having a deep moment or you’re trapped. It could be religion, football or home life, anything goes.

L – Wears strange training shoes, like little girl’s slippers.

M – Takes a lot of stick, especially from Paul Cook. They are from the same area, but he is from the posher end.

N – Can give stick and take it. Likes a laugh.

O – Constantly causing trouble. Loves winding people up, loves going against all the rules. Like a naughty schoolboy.

P – Keeps himself to himself, just gets on with it.

Q – Quiet and observant at the moment. Seems to like a laugh and a joke.
