Milling Arounders 1 Millers 1
Déjà vu all over again

We drew 1-1 at home to Rotherham. The Clarets took the lead in the 35th minute via a low shot from Robbie Blake. The Millers equalised in the 51st minute via - who else? - John Mullin. He took advantage of an excellent through ball from Paul Warne to score his first of the season.
After the game, Stan Ternent expressed his disappointment at the result, but insisted that the team would recover their form, hopefully starting with Reading on Tuesday night.

Woody:
Another poor game between two poor sides. If either team deserved to win, it was Rotherham.
Jensen and Camara were rubbish. Is Camara really any better than Lee Briscoe? West worked hard, as usual. Arthur did OK. David May obviously isn't fit. The midfield was poor - Grant was anonymous, and Chaplow needs to learn to fulfil his midfield role and then bomb forward. Little seemed to give the ball away three times for each one good thing he did. Ian Moore has now had three or four really poor games in a row - and when Facey came on to replace him, it was as though he wasn't even there. I can't believe that Burnley are considering spending money on Facey. He simply isn't a First Division striker. Maybe Ian Moore is going to leave? Robbie Blake was probably our best player. Branchy was playing up front!
Like I've said before, you have to start with the spine of the team. We need at least two - and probably four - new players. Starting with a goalkeeper and a centre half; then we need a centre forward, and then a central midfielder. The centre half needs to be someone who's reliable, and not injury-prone like David May - someone younger, who we can sign on a longer contract. Away from the spine, we have some good players - Blake and Little, and hopefully we will have Chadwick back soon as well.
The players are playing like they are looking for points, but the position we're in, they should be playing like they're desperate for them. I think the confidence has almost completely drained from the team.
The last time we kept a clean sheet was against Bradford, back in September. At least if we got the defence sorted out we might not need to score a goal every time to ensure a point. As I see it, we need to get at least seven points from the five games between today and Coventry at home next month. That's two wins, a draw and two defeats. Today was the draw, and next Saturday will probably be one of the defeats - let's hope we can get a win on Tuesday.
Editor's note: Woody was too depressed to even think about his usual 'alter ego'. We hope this will be back next week!
Dermot:
After yet another poor performance against a poor side, I think people must start to realise that we are a poor side. We've not got much fight, and we're slowly slipping into the relegation dogfight.
John:
Today was a day when the people around me seemed more interested in the glowing colours of the evening sky than in the game! I expect the people in the James Hargreaves stand had the best view of the sunset, though.
A woeful match between two very poor teams. After seeing Branchy at left back, centre back, and now up front, I wonder how long it will be before he steps into Jensen's boots? What positions does he have left? Manager?
More animated were the discussions between the 'Gang of Four' (travellers - Michael being asleep) on the train on the way back! Woody was in top form, banging the table to emphasise points! We were discussing the team... In my opinion, the only players who were OK were Blake, West and Gnohere. Where did it all go wrong?
Michael:
Another performance in the same mould as in the previous few weeks. We continue to give uncommitted performances, which will surely result in relegation unless the players start playing to their ability.
After a good opening spell, we were never convincing. Towards the end of the game, if anyone was going to win, it was Rotherham.
Can someone ask Bolton if we can have Glen Little back? He's not Glen Little any more - he's an impostor. Our best player was Robbie Blake, and even he was guilty of over-elaboration.
The midfield was very ineffective. Grant contributed little. Chaplow spent too much time pushing forward, and Little was anonymous. Up front, Facey made no impact when he came on, and it's frightening that Stan thinks he's worth signing.
Mike:
Two bad sides! Stan really has to stop selecting players out of position. For example: Branch up front; Ian Moore on the left of midfield (really!). The new promo music was awful - I will take my earplugs next time!
Jules:
What can I say about a performance as inept as that? The fact that Branch started the game up front says it all, I think. We were desperate, and if a point at home to such rubbish is all we can muster, I look forward to a trip to Rushden & Diamonds next season.
