Walsall 0 Burnley 1
Sad, sad Saddlers

We beat Colin Lee's Walsall 1-0 at the Bescot Stadium. The only goal of the game was a penalty, netted in the 56th minute by (who else?) Robbie Blake. The penalty was awarded after Craig Burley brought down Neil Wood in the area.
The three points were crucial, if somewhat unexpected, and the Clarets now look set fair for the Easter Monday game at home to Watford.

Brent:
This was a huge result: the performance was OK, but the result was everything.
If we stay up this season, it's through Robbie Blake alone. It's time for Ternent to go. I'm very happy with the result, but it's still "Thanks, Stan, but bye bye".
Dave:
A deserved victory. A generally good all-round performance, which displayed the good work ethic needed against our relegation rivals. Neil Wood was excellent.
Paddy:
Again Robbie Blake had a superb game, and his goal was his just reward for a Man of the Match performance. Hopefully we can breathe a little easier after this massive win.
Today the team dug deep and showed what they can do when they put their minds to it. The only slight downside was that we should have won by more than one goal, if only to stop our guts churning for the rest of the game.
Razor:
From a game I was convinced we would lose 3-0, we apparently won 1-0... how? Well, we played well, at least going forward, and obviously we didn't do too badly in defence!
Firmo:
(To the tune of "Knees up Mother Brown")
We've got Robbie Blake,
We've got Robbie Blake,
We've got Robbie, we've got Robbie, we've got Robbie Blake!
(Repeat ad infinitum)
Thanks very much for the six points this season, you bunch of rip-off merchants.
Nic:
I really enjoyed the game.
Pic of the day
What would we do without him?
