The Burnley FC London Supporters’ Club is pleased to commend the I Support Burnley campaign, which is being run by our friends on the Clarets Mad website.
This initiative aims to recognise those Burnley fans who go to matches to support and encourage their team. It aims to reassure people who go to Burnley matches in a spirit of positive support that they are not alone.
Anyone can join the ‘I Support Burnley’ campaign. All you have to do is adhere to the five pledges below.
The five pledges
I am a supporter of Burnley Football Club.
I will not boo or be abusive to either an individual player or the team whilst at Turf Moor or an away ground.
I will not behave in a violent or disruptive manner at any time.
I will not use racist words or behaviour at any time.
I will support and encourage the team at all times.
As a club, we particularly welcome the emphasis placed on taking a stance against racism and violent behaviour.
Several London Clarets members are already signed up, including our President Peter Pike MP, but we urge all our members to do so. Please join the movement to make the atmosphere at Burnley matches ever more supportive, encouraging and inclusive. Please think about joining the campaign.
