Franchise
FC – the alternative
As
previously detailed, we voted at last year's
AGM to support a boycott of our away game against Franchise FC, which
takes place on Sunday (4th May). We also promised that there would
be an alternative event for London Clarets - indeed, Burnley supporters
in general -
to attend.
We've
now confirmed arrangements with our friends at WISA,
and we're pleased to
provide
details below:
- 12:45-13:00: meet
up with WISA representatives on Wimbledon station forecourt.
- Adjourn to the
Hand in Hand pub, 6 Crooked Billet, Wimbledon - or meet us there
if you prefer (here's a map). The Hand in Hand is a Young's pub
- you can find out more about it on the Young's
website.
- After a beer
or two, and depending on the weather, enjoy an (informal!)
football match on the common.
- Bring your
football boots, your Burnley shirt, and perhaps some picnic food.
There
will probably be an opportunity for more beer later, for those
so inclined...
We'll
also be taking photographs so that the event can be reported.
