It all started in December 1999, when, in a match report, Firmo criticised the large, brown and shaggy coat in which Burnley Chairman Barry Kilby had taken to the pitch. When they met in February 2000, Firmo's slight was still very much on Barry's mind. Somehow, by the end of the evening, they had struck an agreement that, if Burnley were promoted, Firmo would wear that baby Peruvian llama hair coat to the first Nationwide One game of the season. Barry is a man of his word, and when he visited our summer AGM, he delivered the coat.
