My Hero
Great players - we got 'em.
We've the scorer of the winning goal in the 1914 Cup Final, Bert
Freeman, and a Burnley Olympian, Peter Kippax. We have Sir Harry Potts, surely a man who deserves to have a stand named
after him, and someone who was recently given that honour, Baron
McIlroy of the Beehole. Plus for seventies kids we have the Lords Dobbo,
Noble and Hamilton, before we come right
up to date with St Francis of Plymouth and Gerald
Randall Harrison OBE. This is personal writing about treasured players. This isn't
about games played and goals scored. It's about how they played and how it felt to watch
them.
Latest addition - George Oghani and the Sherpa Van Trophy
